CBSA prolongs the reinvestigation of values of oil country tubular goods and seamless casing

February 14, 2020

The Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) announced that it needed more time to complete the re-investigation to update the normal values and export prices of certain certain oil country tubular goods originating in or exported from China, Chinese Taipei, India, Indonesia, the Philippines, the Republic of Korea, Thailand, Turkey, Ukraine and Vietnam.

The same delay will apply to the re-investigation to update the normal values and export prices of certain seamless casing from China.

Orders from the Canadian International Trade Tribunal impose anti-dumping and/or countervailing duties on importations of the specified goods.

The CBSA has extended the re-investigations by 45 days due to the complexity and novelty of the issues presented by the re-investigations. Consequently, the re-investigations will conclude by May 11, 2020.
