The Canadian International Trade Tribunal announced that it continued, with amendment, its finding made in 2005 (and renewed several times since) concerning the dumping of certain carbon steel screws originating in or exported from China and Taiwan, and the subsidizing of such products originating in or exported from China.

(It should be noted that the subject goods have been described as "carbon steel fasteners" since 2005 in the titles of the investigations of the Tribunal and of the Canada Border Services Agency. The Tribunal changed the title description to "carbon steel screws" when rendering this week's decision. The goods are still described as "fasteners" on the Border Agency's website.)

The Tribunal found that the continued or resumed dumping and/or subsidizing of the subject goods was likely to result in injury to Canadian industry.

The Canada Border Services Agency will therefore continue to impose anti-dumping duties on the subject goods.
