Tribunal finds dumping of upholstered seating from China and Vietnam injures Canadian industry

September 8, 2021

The Canadian International Trade Tribunal announced its finding that the dumping and subsidizing of certain upholstered domestic seating from China and Vietnam have caused injury to the domestic industry.

Anti-dumping and countervailing duties will therefore be collected by the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) on importations of these goods from the two countries.

The Tribunal's inquiry and finding follow the issuance by the President of the CBSA of a final determination of dumping and subsidizing dated August 3, 2021.
