Renovations begin at CBSA's Regional Processing Centre in Lacolle, QC

October 14, 2021

The Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) announced the beginning of renovations on two buildings, situated near the Saint-Bernard-de-Lacolle (Quebec) port of entry, to consolidate its operations and house its Regional Processing Centre.

The work is not expected to interfere with operations at the border.

The renovated premises will be transformed into multi-functional spaces to better meet the operational needs of the Agency. Over the next few months the CBSA will be moving out of the temporary facilities it has occupied since 2017.

The refurbished buildings will be used for a number of purposes that complement the activities of the port of entry, including using it as a training centre, warehouse, or for processing asylum claims if needed.
