Tribunal to review expiry of duties on certain gypsum board from the United States

December 17, 2021

The Canadian International Trade Tribunal initiated an expiry review of its January 2017 finding to determine if the expiry of the finding is likely to lead to continued or resumed dumping of certain gypsum board from the United States of America and is likely to result in injury to Canadian industry.

In the first step of the review the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) will determine, by May 12, 2022, if there is a likelihood of resumed or continued dumping of the goods if the finding is left to expire.

In the event of a positive determination by the CBSA, the Tribunal will determine, on October 19, 2022, whether the continued or resumed dumping is likely to result in injury.
