Canada Border Services Agency closes two Atlantic offices due to COVID-19

December 31, 2021

The Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) announced the temporary closing of ports of entry offices in Bathurst, New Brunswick., and Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, due to COVID-19.

A spokesperson for the Agency told media that "most of the staff at the two small offices had either tested positive or forced to isolate due to their proximity to someone who has COVID-19."

Users of the two ports of entry are advised to contact the Moncton POE for service or consult the Directory of CBSA Offices and Services to confirm hours of service of alternate POEs.

The spokesperson said "it's unknown whether other port of entry closures might be on the horizon, but added that the agency is monitoring the situation and will keep the public updated on any further changes."
