Tribunal finds dumping of small power transformers from Taiwan and Korea injures Canadian industry

December 30, 2021

The Canadian International Trade Tribunal announced its finding that the dumping of certain small power transformers from Taiwan and Korea has caused material injury to the domestic industry.

The Tribunal also found that the dumping of these goods, originating in or exported from the Austria, has not caused injury and is not threatening to cause injury to the domestic industry.

Anti-dumping duties will now be collected on importations of the relevant goods by the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA).

The Tribunal's inquiry and finding follow the issuance by the President of the CBSA of a final determination of dumping dated November 25, 2021.
