Dumping and subsidizing of mattresses from China injure Canadian industry according to CITT

November 11, 2022

The Canadian International Trade Tribunal (CITT) found that the dumping and subsidizing of certain mattresses originating in or exported from China (excluding those goods exported to Canada by the exporters mentioned in the finding) have caused injury to the domestic industry.

Anti-dumping and countervailing duties will therefore be collected by the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA).

The Tribunal's inquiry and finding follow the issuance by the President of the CBSA of a final determination of dumping and subsidizing dated October 5, 2022.
