Tribunal maintains injury finding on concrete reinforcing bar from several countries

February 9, 2023

The Canadian International Trade Tribunal announced that it continued its order from May 2017 concerning the dumping of certain concrete reinforcing bar originating in or exported from Belarus, the Separate Customs Territory of Taiwan, Penghu, Kinmen and Matsu (excluding those goods exported by Feng Hsin Steel Co., Ltd.), the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of the People's Republic of China, Japan, Portugal and Spain.

The Tribunal found that the expiry of the order was likely to result in injury to Canadian industry and as such, continued its order.

The Canada Border Services Agency will therefore continue to impose anti-dumping duties on this product.
