The Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership (CPTPP) entered into force for Chile on February 21, 2023.

As a result, eligible Chilean goods imported into Canada are entitled to the CPTPP tariff treatment as of February 21, 2023.

The CPTPP is comprised of Australia, Brunei, Canada, Chile, Japan, Malaysia, Mexico, New Zealand, Peru, Singapore and Vietnam.

Brunei is still in the process of implementing the Agreement.

The United Kingdom is in the process of negotiating it's adhesion to the Agreement with the original members.

Note: Eligible Chilean goods are also entitled to the tariff treatment of the Canada-Chile Free Trade Agreement.
