Reinvestigation of values of carbon steel welded pipe from several countries

May 9, 2023

The Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) initiated a re-investigation to update the normal values and export prices respecting certain carbon steel welded pipe originating in or exported from Chinese Taipei, India, Oman, South Korea, Thailand, and the UAE and the amounts of subsidy of certain carbon steel welded pipe originating in or exported from India.

An order from the Canadian International Trade Tribunal imposes anti-dumping and/or countervailing duty on importations of the specified goods.

CBSA advises that normal values and amounts of subsidy established during this re-investigation will be effective for the subject goods released from the CBSA on or after the date of the conclusion of the re-investigation. Normal values and amounts of subsidy currently in place will expire on that date.

Under certain circumstances the normal values, export prices and amounts of subsidy determined as a result of this re-investigation may be applied retroactively (see last paragraph of following link).
