CBSA prolongs the reinvestigation of values of copper pipe fittings from the U.S., South Korea, and China

May 17, 2023

The Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) announced that it needed more time to complete the re-investigation to update the normal values and export prices of certain copper pipe fittings from the United States, South Korea and China and the amounts of subsidy of certain copper pipe fittings from China.

Orders from the Canadian International Trade Tribunal impose anti-dumping and/or countervailing duties on importations of the specified goods.

The CBSA has extended the re-investigations by 28 days due to the complexity and novelty of the issues presented by the re-investigation. The re-investigation will now conclude by August 17, 2023.
