Tribunal maintains injury finding on sucker rods from China

August 21, 2024

The Canadian International Trade Tribunal announced that it continued its finding, made in December 2018, concerning the dumping and subsidizing of sucker rods from the People's Republic of China.

The Tribunal found that the expiry of the order (which would end the imposition of anti-dumping and countervailing duties) was likely to result in injury to Canadian industry. As such, the Tribunal continued its order.

The Canada Border Services Agency will therefore continue to impose anti-dumping and countervailing duties on this product.
