CBSA issues preliminary dumping determinations on unarmoured building cables from China

July 29, 2026

The Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) made preliminary determinations of dumping and subsidizing respecting unarmoured building cables (UBC) originating in or exported from the People's Republic of China.

Provisional duties at rates ranging from 40.7% to 225.9% will now be payable on the subject goods that are released from customs on or after July 29, 2026.

The Canadian International Trade Tribunal (CITT) will now formally determine if the dumping and subsidizing are causing prejudice to Canadian industry.
